FAN WORKS POLICY

Manifold Studios supports fan creativity and allows the creation and distribution of fan works based on Shepherds of Haven under the following guidelines.

1. PERMISSIBLE FAN CONTENT

You may create and share non-commercial fan content, including but not limited to:

Fan art and illustrations.
Fan fiction and other derivative written works.
Gameplay videos and streams.

This list is illustrative and not exhaustive. However, all fan works must comply with the conditions outlined in this policy. Please credit Shepherds of Haven, Lena Nguyen, or Manifold Studios when sharing such works.

2. PROHIBITED FAN CONTENT

Fan content must not:

Use official game assets (art, logos, music, etc.) without written permission.
Misrepresent affiliation with or endorsement of Manifold Studios or Lena Nguyen.
Misrepresent itself as an official product of the studio.
Contain offensive, illegal, or defamatory material.
Infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
Claim ownership of the original game characters, setting, world, or other elements derived from Shepherds of Haven.
Be used to misrepresent, defame, or otherwise harm the reputation of Shepherds of Haven, its creator, or its affiliated entities.

While fan creations are encouraged, we reserve the right to revoke or modify this policy at any time. Unauthorized commercial use, infringement, or violation of these guidelines may result in legal action.

3. COMMERCIAL FAN WORKS

The sale of fan merchandise is permitted under the following conditions:

Written permission for a commercial use license must be obtained from Lena Nguyen or Manifold Studios.
Products must be small-batch, handmade, or limited-run and must not be mass-produced.
The content must be clearly labeled as "unofficial" and not affiliated with Manifold Studios.
The sale of fan works via Etsy, personal stores, or conventions is allowed, but mass production via Amazon, Redbubble, or Society6 is not.
Merchandise must not closely resemble or compete with official products.

Private commissions of other fan works, such as fan art or fan fiction, is permitted for private, individual, non-commercial use.

If such works are publicly posted, they must include a disclaimer stating:

Shepherds of Haven and all associated intellectual property belong to Lena Nguyen.
Manifold Studios and Lena Nguyen was not involved in or affiliated with the creation or commissioning of the work.

Fan works must not otherwise be sold, monetized, mass-produced, or used for commercial purposes without explicit written permission from Lena Nguyen. This includes but is not limited to:

Selling prints, books, merchandise, or digital products featuring elements from Shepherds of Haven.
Charging for access to fanfiction, artwork, or other derivative content based on Shepherds of Haven.
Utilizing Shepherds of Haven content in crowdfunding campaigns, subscription-based platforms, or any revenue-generating service.

Derivative Commercial Use: Any commercial adaptation, merchandise, or publication based on Shepherds of Haven requires prior written authorization. Unauthorized use may result in legal action.

4. COMMERCIAL USE LICENSES

For commercial use, explicit written permission is required. Licensing requests may be submitted to contact@manifold-studios.com.

5. AI USAGE PROHIBITION

The use of Shepherds of Haven content—including but not limited to text, characters, lore, or artwork—for training, generating, or inputting into artificial intelligence models, chatbots, AI writing tools, or AI-generated artwork is strictly prohibited. This includes:

Using any portion of Shepherds of Haven for AI-generated fan art, fan fiction, or other creative works.
Inputting Shepherds of Haven text or lore into AI chatbots, language models, or generative tools.
Training AI models using Shepherds of Haven content in any capacity.

Such actions are considered an infringement of copyright and intellectual property rights and may result in legal action. This policy is in place to protect the rights of independent creators.

5. ENFORCEMENT

Manifold Studios reserves the right to revoke permissions and request removal of any fan work that violates this policy. Failure to comply may result in legal action.
